Engineering, Design &
Project Development
Designing for how infrastructure actually gets built.
The Challenge
Most engineering designs are prepared remotely, without adequate site investigation, ground truthing, or local construction knowledge.
The result is designs that perform well on paper but are difficult, costly, or impossible to build in the field.
Add fragmented safeguards integration, missing climate resilience, and incomplete tender documentation — and projects stall before construction begins.
What We Do
We provide engineering advisory, design review, technical support, and owner's engineer services that integrate field reality with technical excellence.
Our teams conduct our own field surveys — topographical, geotechnical, hydrological, environmental, and social. We do not rely on outdated or secondary data.
And we remain engaged through construction, so our designs are accompanied by the people who can interpret them in the field. We design for the conditions our clients actually face — not perfect conditions on paper.
Core Service Areas
Five integrated engineering capability areas — from independent technical review through to construction-phase owner's engineer support.
Selected Experience
Delivered across energy, water, social infrastructure, agriculture, and oil & gas sectors.
Full engineering design for 220kV double-circuit transmission line — OHL route surveys, topographical investigations, geotechnical studies, tower and foundation design, substation engineering, earthing systems, protection systems, cable layouts, civil and structural design packages, technical specifications, and BoQs.
Complete design and build of drinking water system including four deep boreholes (200m depth), water treatment plants, elevated storage tanks, and 29km pipeline network — serving thousands of households with 24/7 supply.
Master planning, needs assessment, conceptual design, detailed engineering, cost estimation, and tender documentation for a specialised 100-bed cardiology hospital (64,000 sq.m facility).
Engineering field surveys and detailed design for 70+ irrigation schemes covering 15,648 hectares and 116.7 km of main and branch canals — topographical surveys, digital mapping, structure plans, cut and fill calculations, water control structures, Civil 3D profiles, specifications, and BoQs.
Civil and electro-mechanical construction, installation, testing, commissioning, tower construction, overhead line installation, OPGW systems, material supply coordination, and quality control for 8km of 220kV overhead transmission line.
Pre-construction surveys, detailed engineering design, pipeline centreline survey, field facilities reconfiguration, ESIA/ESMP development, and construction supervision support for 89km gas pipeline (12-inch diameter).
Our Approach
Five phases that take a project from field investigation through to construction completion.
Field investigation, site characterisation, baseline data collection
Engineering design, safeguards integration, climate resilience planning
Tender documentation, BoQs, technical specifications, contractor evaluation
Independent review, technical due diligence, value engineering
Owner's engineer, construction support, as-built documentation
Why DV
Many engineering firms design for perfect conditions. We design for the conditions our clients actually face — complex social and environmental constraints, challenging field conditions, limited local construction capacity, and the need for climate resilience.
